DMV
The jag had not been on the street for twenty years and I had to get it registered. The paperwork at the DMV was straight forward. It required a VIN verification. I had to get the car towed to the DMV to get it verified.
The DMV was about ten minutes away. It was a quick process. There was some confusion about the VIN. The VIN on the 1970 JAGs are located on the drivers side door pillar, engine compartment, and a small tag visible thrugh the windshield on the drivers side.
The VIN was the same at all three locations except the BW at the end of the VIN was not on the windshield location. It was decided to go with the VIN that did not have the BW added. My understanding is the BW is a reference to the Borg Warner (BW) Automatic transmission.
